Hm lets clean up some things: using torrent is NOT illegal. Torrent means that who wants to download something downloads it from more users, and not from one server. It can be used to illegally distribute sofware, yes. So as the ftp protocoll for example. Anyone saying torrent is bad, evil etc... just sais internet is bad, evil etc. There's a point in Legend's comment, i use cracked games to try stuff, but if it reaches my expectations, i buy the cd. If not, i just delete the iso.

I admit I torrent. I can never feel justified paying $25+ for a movie and $50+ for a game.

Yes, they are the same. The only difference is that utorrent is a lighter app and doesn't need an installation. Bye

I don't think having things torrented would make things more expensive. Actually economically it would bring all prices down as they would have to compete with illegal and free methods of procuring information with legal ones which cost a certain amount of funds. I would opt toward the legal reasonably priced version every day of the week; however, the gaming and music industry seems to be going the way of monopolies which negatively impact originality/quality in the end.

Forgive the previous comment. I recently took an economics class and our teacher demanded we apply economic theory to everything in the world. It is very hard to stop, last night I had a nightmare about the require reserve ratio for banks being set at zero percent and the entire society coming to an end because of it.

No bullshit here. I torrented something and got charged for it. LOL. I have been torrenting for years and this baffled me. eh, just tossin it out there.
