And a tradition of social harmony present among diverse religious and ethnic groups is visible across the country. One gets to see this at lord Ramlengeshwara or Shiva Temple located in (Map in) Annugul village of Belgaum district in the Southern state of Karnataka (Map out). Established in 12th century, the temple is a symbol of communal amity as devotees from different religions come here to pay obeisance to Lord Ramlengeshwara or Shiva.
