If I'm a PC user and wanted to print wireless, will I still have to install the printer on my laptop with the printer's installation CD or will I be able to print immediately after I install the airport extreme without installing the printer on my laptop?

u have to install the printer on your laptop as a network printer, or search for printers on your network and then install it.

Also keep in mind the Wireless Signal is like a Donut, If your device is right on top of it you may have interminten connection

I think you need WDS wifi devices (Wireless Distribution System) to get the extension thing. The fact is Apple devices do support WDS and may be able to extend third party networks but only if your primary router also supports WDS (Not so usual). I must say I'm quite surprised by your review, my AE works flawlessly and I couldn't be happier with it, yours must be defective...
