To a point,it´s a pity he became a famous"romantic" singer, cause we allmost lost a great Jazz musician. He was such a wonderful piano,and influenced other great players as Errol Garner.

I can say that Nat King Cole was one of the top jazz/comp players of all time. Few knew his amazing talent not only as a vocalist, but an extraordinarilly accomplished classical and jazz pianist. His technique suggests a classical background - but his understanding of the chord voicings is simply amazing. Nat clearly has a lifetime of work under his hands. SO very, very, very rare.
