I personally believe rather strongly in religious conviction but what I LOVE about this song is that it takes a message to everyone, it conveys a message: emotional, spiritual, MUSICAL! It's powerful, it's emotive and it's bloomin' sensational! Go Bette! x

Atheist long prided themselves out of the "empty hypothesis", that they dont need to prove existence for they stand on the "empty" side, so its on the shoulders of the believers to prove existence, well, if they ask is proof of God's Existence, then let me ask them, first, give us proof on "HOW DO YOU PROVE THE EXISTENCE OF PROOF THE NON-EXISTENCE OF GOD? we believers are not dumb people believing in mysticism and miracles, in fact,we are more scientific than these stereotyping sourpusses

I think it is of personal judgement if god exsists or not, I beleive in god, but that is my choice. However I do not think we should be discussing if god is real or not, this is a beautiful song, sang by the powerful fantasic voice of Bette Middler. Beautiful.

And as for 'empirical' evidence? Lets begin by looking in the mirror and seeing our uniqueness, then all around at life, everything......all created and sustained by God. You, nor I, nor everything around us happened just by chance. And yes, free will, like we exercise here, to accept or deny God, that's because we were endowed with free will from God.

God is alive and well. A little angry are we? You were drawn to this song and just had to make sure you commented. I remember once hearing it would take alot more faith to be an atheist, to prove God doesn't exist than to be a believer knowing by faith He does exist.

It is not for someone to prove a negative. You have to prove "god" exists. Atheists don't have to prove god doesn't exist. I don't have to prove unicorns don't exist, since there is no evidence that they do. Therefore, the don't exist. The burden of proof is on you. If god is alive and well, you must have empirical evidence of his existence? If not, you can't make such a claim and should be silent.

it sounds like NewAuthor is the one who is a "little angry" Im agnostic and i am taking my confirmation soon but I will not make such an arragont claim as to say that my belief is right and yours is wrong. I quite like the idea of no God because it would mean that we are kind and compassionate because we know it is the right thing to do not because God will punish us if we dont. but I still do not think there is no god though im a little doubtful, its nice to feel that someone is there for us.
