AirPort Express Unboxing

Back

The AP Extreme was not enough in my house. Then I decided to buy an AP Express, not only to extend the range of my network, but also to print wirelessly and to try the AirTunes (so cool!). Here's the opening ritual. Music not authorized, do not sue me, please.

If I'm a PC user and wanted to print wireless, will I still have to install the printer on my laptop with the printer's installation CD or will I be able to print immediately after I install the airport extreme without installing the printer on my laptop?

In my experience I can say that installing the drivers on the computer (Mac or PC) is always a good idea, whether if you print via USB or wirelessly.

I know that some guys could extend the signal of 3rd party's routers.

You know, you can use airport express as wifi extender for airport extreme... But it only extends the signal for Apple made routers...

chance, i called apple and they said the latest models support 3rd party routers to extend wireless networks such as Linksys routers.
