i saw this in an assembly at school and everyone was laughing at the bits where it said : 'shift happens' and 'size does matter' serious side though this is scary but exciting at the same time

Excellent video. Seen it a few times. Shown it to several people... To the person below my comment. A computer with such advanced Artificial Intelligence or maybe a biologically based computer can grow and evolve. If they develop a computer that can actually compute faster than us AND learn just as fast. We'll be obsolete. Shame. lol -C

This is a REAL eye opener. I watched it in my class at my school. I was shocked and speechless. It made me feel fearful of my future, and also at the end I felt and a little fearful of the prediction of: By 2049, a $1000 dollar computer will be smarter than the human race. That is crazy, its like the movies of the humans creating something that overpowered its creator. Maybe it's just their propaganda as media to scare us, but if it is 100% true... I don't know.

Yeah, I saw it in my class too but explain one thing to me. How can a computer be smarter than the creator? I'm not saying it can't happen but, to me, that's pretty insane.
