The comment is in response to Tennessee888's comment: "going back in further in time...Plato. and even further..JC". I presume 'JC' is Jesus Christ, who apparently pre-dates Plato. So 'BC' stands for Before Christ. Clown.

true what aaronfoster says,as if the bullshit rock media establishment have anointed Johnson the greatest, at Clapton's behest, and there is no debate. Whereas I find McTells playing leagues ahead of Johnsons in terms of versatility, melody and polished sheen, i find Johnson relies on that little trebly lick he's always doin, just like Berry with his johnny b goode leitmotif that was present in neaarly every one of his songs.Or maybe i just bought the wrong Johnson compilation ?

Damn straight, I'm tired of people arselicking clapton, just going along with this "RJ was the best bluesman to ever live" horseshit; RJ was great, but who can judge which bluesman was the greatest?

A genius....... a greater talent than Johnson.Superb guitar player. And that voice...Unique.Well almost unique.Alan Wilson of Canned Heat adopted Skip`s voice. On songs like "On The Road Again" or "Going Up The Country" Skip`s influence is undeniable. Too bad Skip was such a bitch as a person.A mean, egotistical tyrant. He treated Alan like shit when the two men spent time together. But Skip was, without a doubt, one of the greatest -perhaps the greatest-bluesman ever. Glen
