I agree with you. The corporatocracy is too entrenched. Whoever is elected will end up bent to the wills of the well connected. Anyone with content and character is diminished and marginalized by the MSM (ie: Kucinich, Nadar). Heaven forbid we have a 3rd party giving anyone real choice.

The elections not need to be rigged. The apathy and ignorance of most voters is abysmal. Many don't know who is Nader or Barr and many have no clue about these candidates plans. People are voting for instinct not research. The rich and powerful are the one deciding the outcome. Nader is obviously the most qualified candidate, but come November and if the race is tight I'll go for Obama. Less of two evils. McCain is much much better than Bush, but with Palin as runmate is a no go.

Our democracy (as opposed to Israel's multiparty system) is, when it comes to the presidency, winner-take-all. With two parties running, a president cannot win with less than a majority. With three parties running, a president can win with 34% of the vote. More to the point, the third party subtracts votes from whichever party is most *similar* to it, thus defeating its own purposes by ensuring that the platform it most disagrees with wins the election. I like Nader, but this is stupidity.
