No Andy Wood had glam in his stage performances, but their music was never glam. Either way Ament never went glam. Just because a band made it big mainstream doesnt mean they cant be grunge. I hate when people say that, get off your high horses. Of course everyone will always consider bands like the Melvins, Mudhoney, Malfunkshun, and Green River the first true grunge bands and the pioneers, but Pearl Jam was clearly grunge for the first few albums. And Ten came out months before Nevermind.

Well.......grunge mainly started by bands like the melvins, mudhoney, and mother love bone. But once the lead singer of mother love bone died from a herione overdose. then 2 of the members got from mother love bone started a band with eddie vedder. But back to what i was saying. Then after those bands. Nirvana came in and was the biggest band in the 90s. Pearl jams problem was that there hit album came out after nirvanas nevermind album blew open the doors. NIRVANA AND PEARL JAM ROCK.

You are obviously misinformed dickhead. Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament were at the center of the Seattle grunge scene from its inception in the mid 80's. Green River was one of the first real grunge bands. Pearl Jam comes from grunge roots, and Ten and Vs. both have heavy grunge elements, though they bridged in many directions thankfully. Dont make comments when you have no clue what your talking about.
