really if you ever saw the movie the score the mythbusters didnt test this right because in the movie the septer is on the bottom of the safe in a metl box surounded by other boxes protected by a metal box that incloses all of the boxes. so i think if it was like that then nothing would be damaged.

they should just try a GAS AXE ive use them to cut though 2 inch steel plate took 20 min to cut a 2x2 ft square

with that sorta safe if you try to drill you dont get the money but neither does the owner.
ps i think cause of the pins that shoot out and lock it

I was pretty sure that woud happen. I once tried what happen if you put small firecracker in glass of water, glass flyed abaut 2 meters (7 feets) in air and water kept dropping from roof abaut half an hour. then I tried whit 5 litre (1.32 gallons) kettle filled whit water, it jump abaut 5cm (2 inches) in air.
Lastly I tried again whit glass but i put piece of cardboard on glass. I tought cardboard would fly of the glass, but glass blow up in pieces and cardboard just fell down

This is the most stupid safe cracking method I ever seen.
If you want to crack a safe use a big ANGLE GRINDER. It takes about 30 - 40 minutes at most and you need about 5 wheels.

if you continuously put water in it, and were able to fill it faster than it leaked, you could detonate the explosive without sealant.

The goods inside were destroyed yes. This obviously doesn't work well with delicates, but maybe bullion would survive the opening process well and remain practicable to recover.

unless the bullion itself is really really strong, and gold itself would be deformed quite badly because its soft, i guess this method doesnt really work at all, most of the items placed inside a safe, is usually quite delicate and fragile

Well no, though soft and perhaps disfigured by the blast, it could then be collected and re-cast into ingots.
My point with bullion is that it's shape doesn't add to it's value, so damage would be acceptable.
