You don't need to "feel bad for deaf people". They don't need your pity. And it's your own ignorance that's at fault if you are unable to communicate with those different then you. There are a lot of different ways that people who are deaf communicate, and they are used to communicating with people who have a hard time with it.

(cont) It's discrimination not to hire someone based on any perceived "disability". There is training out there for employers who want to be able to communicate with their deaf employees better. I don't think it's that difficult. I'm deaf and I work. It's not impossible. Also keep in mind this video takes place in the Philippines.

I'm currently taking ASL classes so that hopefully I can one day teach a deaf cooking class. Finding work is hard, and my ASL teacher says that food is HUGE in the deaf community, and I want to be able to help deaf (or just ASL-friendly people) find work and generally just enjoy life the way its meant to be.

since i left college i have been trying to get a job some people didnt call back and others said i didnt get the job its been years i never had a job in my life and am on Disability Living Allowance now

WHAT? YOUR NOT ALLOWED A JOB BECAUSE YOUR DISABLED? THATS DISCRIMINATION, in where I live, If i have a better qualification also being deaf, it's unfair not me to go coz it's against the law of discrimination act

its pretty easy to not hire some one. All the employer has to say is that they are not the person for the job for a different reason. Happans all the time.

True Story I watch feel bad and sad. but me too i look for job agian fight fight, fight hard find for job. I have been 2 job wow. CPS call to welcome me go work at night and have other FFG call me go work morning very busy much. wow. ireally that my life get luck. so then I looking video to you luck get job compay need busienes! good luck. please dont give up. you keet it work hard forever to years and good money.
