Other new features include a digital multi-function remote control, and a truly random (not fixed) shooting star function.
Of course, such high celestial technology doesnt come cheap. While no price has been determined, the Homestar EX is expected to sell for over $800 when released.

Though it wont be released until the end of the year 2008, the Homestar EX uses large star discs, is a much higher-quality home planetarium than anything else in the Homestar series, and is bright enough to see the stars clearly with the lights on in the room!

Home Star Pro is a fantastic detailed image of our night sky, provided the room is Pitch Black for best effect. You can make it a small detailed image, By shining it about 1 meter away from the wall, it looks i bought it from Hong Kong, which I Bought online from toys brando com hk

Well, I goit one through Efston Science in Toronto, and it works just a well as advertised. A small or medium room with an 8 foot high ceiling is recommended -- and the room needs to be dark. You need a small laser pointer if you're showing off the sights to your friends, otherwise you have all you really need for a fine show. Not mentioned is the 15 minutes of background music on the enclosed audio CD. Very soothing...

i bought a Homestar during my wait at the airport in Japan. My question is why is the Homestar Pro more expensive? I only got the lower version. They even have a version for the bathtub.... and it emits light down into the tub....reflecting on the water.....giving the illusion of you bathing in space water...unfortunately i don't soak in the tub much....

So its a projector that only displays a set of starry skies? I'd rather buy a REAL projector and prop it on its side

So does this projector beat the laser stars? and does it fade on and fade off when you turn it on and turn it off?

Does this cover an entire wall or ceiling? Is it an engulfing kindof thing or just a small projection?
