Funny that, the lyrics to this song are so simple and straightforward, in comparison to most his stuff. And yet so powerful and touching.

I agree Bodacea. I love how some people say he's over-rated, it's like yeah what have you listened to, Ziggy Stardust,Fame and Young Americans.

I agree with what Jourell1 said except, he DOES have a versatile voice. Compare: Letter To Hermione, The Supermen, Life on Mars, Five Years, Young Americans, Sweet Thing/Candidate, Golden Years, Heroes, Sound&Vision, Look Back In Anger, Teenagewildlife, It's No Game, China Girl, Loving the Alien, As The World Falls Down, Modern Love, The Drowned Girl, Wild Is The Wind, Slip Away. All different vocal styles and very skilled in singing. One of the most talented contemporary male singers ever.
