You know who I think would have complemented Bill's music greatly? Paul Desmond from The Dave Brubeck Quartet, his sax would have fit great with any of Bill's music.

I think so too. I've been around pro jazz musicians for most of my life & never met one who would make the kinds of statements PERV does.We encourage each other, not run each other down. Every instrument has it's part to play in a combo setting, & we talk to each other thru our solos & comping(we also don't brag about how much money we have & real estate deals.)

i can't say i've had as much experience w/ pro jazz musicians as you have, but i've had some, and it agrees w/ what you say completely EVERY instrument makes its contribution

This guy probably doesn't even play piano. Real jazz musicians would never say the things he does about other instrumentalists.Some of the finest musicians I've met & played with are bassists & drummers,i.e. Buddy Rich; Ron Carter ad infinitum.

Amen. Can't anybody just LISTEN to the music on these videos? Does anyone thing Bill Evans would read these comments? Or care what our opinions are. He would be too busy actually playing music.
