I love you're intent, but that's a bit naive. What is YouTube? Who owns it? Why would you use them for distribution? What happens if you film/content is longer than 10 minutes? How are you going to pay for the cost of production if you aren't making any money for your artistic endeavor? What is in the YouTube agreement clause for posting content? What is in the fine print? Etc.

Precisely my point. History remembers Sophocles, Shakespeare, etc. Who acted in those productions? Actors are important, but why are they more important than the person who wrote the thing that's making their career. 20 million for 3 months work just to pretend you're someone else, which I'm sorry is human nature. Give me a break. The true artist is being ignored.
