But when does the "need" for China ever end? Why not give them more? One the argument for giving to China is that it may encourage their government to give up its Communist ways and become democratic. But has that tactic ever worked? Besides, the US is broke and any money given is borrowed from the taxpayers and sells out their national security. Bush has given more aid to Africa, AIDS, and American blacks than any other president and the west including US blacks still hate him.

Whether the man explicitly recognizes it not, his final concluding comments mean, in reality and in effect: "Your needs and interests, chopsky, do not matter compared to the needs and interests of the worst people in the Third World." That is a recipe for suicide--mine, yours, and everyone in the Third World, but most importantly, mine.
