I remember hearing this song on radio in the summer of 1995. I thought it was Patty Smith making a comeback (and a bloody good one too). That week, my mother heard this song while she was int he kitchen and said "that voice sounds familiar." She walked in on us watching the video and said "holy cow, that's Patty Smith!" She didn't believe it wasn't Patty Smith until she saw the credits. Alanis looks like Smith, sounds like her, and her songs have the same tone.

i remember how upset the dj's in boston were when this song came out. they just kept commenting on how pissy she was being about being broken up with. like women are just supposed to suck it up. fuck that.

No lie fam! A beautiful burnette meth head at a Seattle Airport was explaining to me that Alanis is singing this song to that guy Joseph " JOEY " Alvin Gladstone ( Dave Coulier ) on the TV Show "Full House" that does the Popeye and other cartoon imitations, etc. I WAS LMAO! I still can not believe it but then again beauty is in the eyes of the beholder! I'am opened to any comments on this one because it is hilarious!
