Norse - The Ancient Vikings
BackThe Vikings, Norsemen used their famed longships to travel as far east as Constantinople and to the Eastern Europe to Volga River in Russia and the Caucasus to Caucasian Albania (Azerbaijan)and Georgia, Caspian Sea , and as far west as Newfoundland. This period of Viking expansion is often referred to as the Viking Age of Scandinavian History. Azerbaijan has ancient roots with Norway and Scandinavia! Norge: Midgard og Aser: Asgard er en Jord! Odin came from the land of the "Aser" (Aeser), and is, therefore, frequently referred to as "Asa-Odin" (Aser-Odin). Asgard or Ásegard is the realm of the Gods Aser in Norse religion and Norse mythology. The exact meaning of "Asgard is Aser Land or the Land of Aser". Modern day Scandinavians migrated north from the east of the Caucasus, Aserbaijan (Azerbaijan/Caucasian Albania) in prehistoric times. According to Icelandic Sagas, written in the 13th century, the Norse God Odin migrated from the east of the Caucasus, from Aserbaijan in the first century AD. Heyerdahl concluded that Azerbaijan and not northern Europe was the center from which the Caucasian people spread so that Chinese archaeologists would find their 4000 years old remains buried in northwestern China. He based that conclusion on early Norwegian sagas written down by the Icelander, Snorre Sturlason, before his death in 1241, (Snorri, The Sagas of the Viking Kings of Norway. English translation: J. M. Stenersens Forlag, Oslo 1987). Talið er Óðinn hafi verið tyrkneskur maður, frá þar sem nú heitir Azerbaijan í fyrrverandi Sovétríkjunum. Orðið Azeri (eða maður frá Azerbaijan) er náskylt orðinu Æsir. Ímyndunaraflið breytti heimaslóðum hans í Ásgarð. Malmø , Sweden . The police now publicly admit what many Scandinavians have known for a long time: They no longer control the situation in the nations's third largest city. It is effectively ruled by violent gangs of Muslim immigrants. Some of the Muslims have lived in the area of Rosengård, Malmø, for twenty years, and still don't know how to read or write Swedish.

I don't think it is, I also wonder what inspired the maker of this music. No one has heard the music of Vikings, so it should not be taken as "Viking" music, but it does sound rather cool.
Nebelhexe may have been inspired by old Celtic or even Native American Music, who knows? The singing sound too close for it to be a coincidence.

I didn't think of that. I know about joik, but I didn't recognise this as such. You could be right, as this piece of music has very layered sound.

"A Viking is categorically NOT a flaxen-haired maiden making attractive jewellery by the side of a picturesque fjord, no matter what some museum curators may imply."
