I love Ron Paul he is an American Hero!

People are afraid of Ron Paul becasue they are insecure in their abilities to be responsible for their own actions. Those that like government involved are those that are afraid of failure. With government involvement..they have someone to point the finger to if they fail. "Democrazy" only breeds insecurity and mediocracy

maxpower1227, you are incorrect. In 1913 the 16th Amendment was passed giving the federal government the power to tax the incomes of corporations and individuals on a progressive basis.... This greatly expanded the power of the federal government, giving them the resources to get involved in areas not delegated to them by the constitution. It gave them the resources, other supreme court cases over the years played a big part in the transition of power. They have robbed us slowly, now we suffer.

I dont think you're being "honest" or "realist" I think your afraid of actually improving the condition of your life and the people around you.
It takes effort to start a revolution and improve the world, accepting things as they are is easy.
youtube isnt the place for these discussions, but work towards something you believe in, and do that as long as you live.
maxpower1227 (Tuesday 8th of July 2008 01:31:28 PM)
No, hanging around people who don't know the difference between "your" and "you're" clearly is NOT the place for an intelligent discussion.
Since you think that abolishing the income tax will "[improve] the condition of [my] life", perhaps you could point out for me one nation without an income tax that has a standard of living anywhere NEAR the one we enjoy.

you shouldnt say congress will just go ahead and do it.
we live in a republic when we allow our government to punk us, thats what they do.
vote aggressively and need be take it to the streets but I wont get it on my knees, things can and will change.

We are a republic, friend, not a democracy. A republic is preferable to a democracy as democracy is tyranny by the majority, trampling on the freedoms of the minority.
The problem with a constitutional republic is that the people need to be informed and not relinquish their responsibilities to the state.

taxes are a problem for normal americans

this man is right, I dont understand why you all hate him so vehemently
federal income tax is unconstitutional, amendment 16 wasnt fully ratified.
