Close your eyes. Can't you just see the elephants plodding and swaying over the Sahara? or in India? In either case...this was my father's favorite piece and I have been hearing it since I was three years old... That would be fifty nine years ago. I love Bolero because it makes me think of my dad....who was the smartest, most Mac Guyver-esk man I ever knew. Also the only one I could ever count on.

Whoever said 'fucking repetitive' is very right to do so! But that's the beauty of it - just like the minimalism of the 20th century Ravel repeats and progresses the theme beautifully. Big love for this.
